Halloween Night Safari - 25 October 2008

One of the best time to visit the Night Safari is during Halloween! You get to enjoy the Halloween festival and see the animals. The Halloween costumes were great and the staffs really put effort in their actings.

We took the tram that entered the Halloween trial which was decorated to the theme. Along the way, ghosts and monsters came out of no where to frighten us. I have to give credit to the narrator of the trail that made the trial even more fun.

The atmosphere at the stores was even better. All the stores were selling Halloween gadgets and toys you won't get to see in local stores. After the night at the safari, we 'dabao-ed' the famous ChongPang's Nasi Lemak and ate and stayed at WeiMin's place for the night. =)

Night Cycling - 11 & 12 October 2008

This night cycling was headed by our dear Brian Ong assisted mainly by ChiewLin and QiJun. I have to say it's a very successfully event considering 24 people showed up. I remembered we had a small organising session over supper at Bukit Timah a week before to confirm the activities. Ha, I still have Brian's Checkpoint and Activity List, and the Name List in my hard disk. We even had a safety lorry driven by my long-lost Primary School buddy, YinHao. I took over the safety vehicle from Zouk to Labrador Park, my contribution to the activity. =)

We started from ECP to Zouk, then to Labrador Park. Returned to Kallang for breakfast and headed back to ECP. We stopped along the way at petrol stations for breaks and had games at each check points adding to the fun.

Thanks, Brian! This is definitely an event that should be organised again! =)

Pulau Ubin Trips - Sept & Oct 2008

5 Oct - My recce trip to Ubin. Though I was in Ubin the week before, this trip was even more fun as I brought a few of my best buddies and good friends along. Though I came prepared this time, checking out for any new places to visit or that I have missed on the internet, I was unable to find the top point of a quarry where you can get a good view of the neighbouring quarries and lakes. Hopefully I can find it one day. My ex-department didn't manage to plan the trip as some were not interested. But I will be going to Ubin this early December 2009 with the super fun Corporate Audit team in my present company. They have invited my group to join in the fun and, best of all, we get to discuss on the itinerary and the trip is funded! =)

27 Sept - It had been a long ~ time since I been to Pulau Ubin then. I think the last was when I was in Secondary 4, 9 years back. I was fortunate to be invited to join this trip by my good friend, SoonLee The best part of the trip was cycling and exploring Ubin, and meeting old friends and making new ones. If I am not wrong, the last time I ever rode a bike was also in Ubin when I was in Secondary 4. I was not confident on cycling in the beginning. But after the first 5 mins testing out the bike, I felt that I could managed. The gang brought me around Ubin, to places I have never seen before. It was fun, we even manage to spot a python. When I went back to office the next day, I told my ex-colleagues* about the trip. Some were interested and ask me to organize one for the ex-department, hence I planned a recce trip above. *I have a new job now.

Sentosa Outing - 13 September 2008

This is the first event I organised! Managed to get 20 plus people somehow or another and planned a day of activities. Of course, with the help of my good friends, Ken, Brian and ChiewLin. If I am not wrong, QiJun only gave encouragements such as, 'don't worry, it will be fun'. Ha.

We had captain's ball, ultimate frisbee and water bombs. Just these 3 activities and we were exhausted from the fun. Well, it has been a year since this Sentosa outing, looking forward to another though. Hopefully someone will organise one soon and I would like to suggest the one working in Sentosa now. Free passes!! =)

Sports Day - 31 August 2008

This was the day that unexpectedly changed my boring life.

How I got involved? Well, I was driving HengSwee home one day when I learnt of this event. He asked a girl named ChiewLin if I could tag along and, Wah-La, I joined this group of people whom I don't know.

We played badminton, soccer, basketball, captain's ball and dodge ball at Telok Blangah community centre and proceeded to hort park for a walk. Sounds boring but actually it was refreshing, meeting new people and having fun. I have always wanted to organise activities, but just didn't have the opportunity.

So why did this change my life? Because on that day, I met 3 girls that became my close friends. One is very resourceful, dependable and a superb friend to have, another is overly-energetic, seems to treat strangers like old time friends and have tons of crazy fun ideas, and the last one is 'loud' at first, but a smart and reliable friend when you get to know her. Thanks, ChiewLin, QiJun and KunRui! =)

NTU Convocation 2008

23 July - Convocation @ NTU. I looked through the pictures taken that day. I realised I really don't look good in my gown or maybe I just don't look like a graduate. Hence, I have uploaded a couple of convocation photos and included some photos from a Sentosa outing. =)

I made many good friends in NTU and had a relatively smooth journey in my 4 years. However, the most memorable moment was when I was 'arrowed' to organise a Sentosa outing for my year one classmates. Managed to pull it through and we had fun! So above are some of the pictures we took on 22 Feb 2005.

Come to think of it, the remaining 3 years in NTU were boring... except when I went to California and when I observed how my best genius buddies, ZhongMing and WeeKiat mugged and counted their A+s after exams.
