Cycling @ Sentosa 28 May 2010

Cycling with Qijun and Weekiat at Sentosa. We rented electric bikes that made cycling easier with the extra boost from the motor. The bikes were rented at staff rate, thanks to Qijun.

As the friendly Sentosa staff, Qijun toured us around. We visited the beaches, Resort World, Universal Studio and her office. A simple, yet enjoyable day. =)

Sydney Visit 8 May - 16 May 2010

Another week in Sydney with my brother's family after parting ways with the guys from the road trip.

Spent lots of time with my brother, my dasao and my nieces, Janelle and Janine. My 1st visit since they moved 2 years ago.

We had picnics and steaks, had BBQ at their friend's place, I sent my nieces to school and brought Janelle to Penrith. I also visited Blue Mountain and the Jenolan caves with Ghis and Carinne. On my own, I cycled at Olympic Park, and visited Manly Beach and Paramatta.

I totally enjoyed the week, driving around and hanging out with family and friends. Looking forward to my next visit and the up-coming addition to the family, my nephew. =)

Australia 4 Cities Road Trip 29 April - 8 May 2010

BEST vacation so far! Miss the Fish & Chips, Hot Chocolates and Steaks.

9 days in 4 Cities, Perth, Melbourne, Tasmania & Sydney with Ken, Kunrui and Boon.

The 1st city was Perth where Kunrui, Boon and I stayed at my aunt's place. We visited the city of Perth, followed by Fremantle and ended with dinner with my aunt's family.

We left for Melbourne where we met up with Ken. We explored the city and visited the Crown Casino that night where we made, but later lost, $120 with just $5. The next day we went on our 1st drive, onto the Great Ocean Road. Very smooth drive with nice views along the way to the 12 Apostles. We left for Tasmania after hanging out with Kunrui's friend, Evan, at his apartment and exploring the city a little further on the following day.

Arriving at Hobart, the sun was already setting. We had a Ford Falcon, a large sedan, as there was no more Corolla. Lucky us! We drove about 3 hours to reach our hostel with no streetlights along the road, but with roadkills and live animals occasionally on it. We ran over one poor animal that night...

The next morning long before the sun rose, we went to search for penguins. Due to our loud entrance and flashing torches, the penguins must have hidden deep in the bushes and rocks. Only Ken and myself managed to catch glimpse of 3 penguins, but we heard lots of them. For the remaining days, we explored Cradle Mountain and also enjoyed Wineglass Bay's scenic view. We also visited a reserve for the famous Tasmanian Devils. We ended the stint at Tassie with horseback riding at the foot of Cradle Mountain. =)

Final stop was Sydney. We visited the Fish Market, Sydney Market, Darling Harbour and many nice eating places. We met her friends, Kat and Lydia, for dinner and KTV! On the second day, we rented a car and were on our way to Featherdale Wildlife before reaching Blue Mountains to view the 3 Sisters. We ended the day with a hearty dinner at my brother's place, followed by Pancakes on the Rocks nearby. Finally, on the 9th day, Ken left for Singapore, Kunrui and Boon stayed in the city, while I went to join mybrother's family for another week of adventure.

Thanks guys for coming on the trip and hopefully we can try New Zealand next! =)

Vietnam Trip 22 - 26 April 2010

5 days trip included flying from HCM to Danang for tailor-made shoes & clothes, followed by Hoi an for sightseeing and nightlife (massage, spa and bar), and ended back at HCM for more shopping and food. The party consisted of (last pic from left) Jennifer, Jamie, Joanna, myself, Yileng and Dennis.

How it began was fast. The 3 Js and I were discussing about a trip in office when we came across a TigerAir promo to Vietnum for only 99 cents 1-way. I managed to get Yileng and Dennis in, and pooh, we were off to Vietnam.

Though I was down with a variant of H1N1 on the day of departure, I went ahead on the trip. Unfortunately, not only did I feel sick, Yileng and Dennis fell ill too. Sorry guys. However, the trip was still fun with great shopping and food with awesome companions!

Special thanks Dennis for being my buddy during the trip and for the photos taken with his Canon S90. =)
