Muir Woods

21th Apr - I had lunch with Josie, a friend from Karate, and her husband, Allan, at a pasta restaurant at Sanata Row. They are really nice. I had lunch with Allan at National Semiconductor, a mile away from Maxim, on the following Tuesday. He toured me round his company and, wow, is it amazingly huge and beautiful. It has a 14 hectares park which has a softball field, a soccer field, a sand volleyball court, many BBQ pits, water fountains etc. They even have their own gym and library, not to mention, a set of equipments and a desk for each engineer!!!
After the lunch with Josie and Allan, I had a game of volleyball at Montague Park with Maxim's volleyball team. I managed to contact the captain and they are so kind to welcome me for friendly games, we also play during Wednesdays' lunch in Maxim.
22th Apr - I picked James gor from SFO. In the afternoon, I drove down to join Emily and friends for volleyball at a sand volleyball court in a Homestead church. We ended my night with spicy beef noodle after playing in the freezing cold.
29th Apr - Finally we got to taste Grace jie's cooking again after she and the kids touched down on the 27th and she was able to beat her jet-lag. James gor, Rachel, Mitchell and I went down to Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival where James gor did some demonstrations. We then realised that our sensei, teacher, Jay Castellano, is a USA Karate Champion.
29th Apr - We went on a hiking trip at Muir Woods.

Stanford University

Apr 14th - After karate lessons, I went with a fellow student, Neda, and her friends to a movie. I managed to watch 3 of the top movies till 2am at AMC theatre, Pathfinder, Blades of Glory and Shooter.
Apr 15th - I was so fortunate that I went to Stanford on its Community Day, which is held once every 2 years. All admissions to museums, conferences and the Hoover Tower that oversee Stanford are free and open to public. There were so many booths showcasing their clubs and setting up activities. After spending most of my day at the college, I headed to mountain view downtown for a stroll before returning home.

Bonfire at Santa Cruz

Mar 31st - Emily, Dage's friend, invited me to a bonfire at the coast of Santa Cruz. We watched the sunset as we carried the food and firewood down to the beach. We sang, BBQ and chat around the warmth of the fire. It was really freezing when sun complete went down and we shifted closer and closer to the fire. Best of all, I get to taste California's traditional S'mores baked by Steve, the one with cowboy hat, melted mush mallow and heshey chocolate between 2 pieces of crispy cracker. It was really fun.
Mar 32nd - Emily and Kevin took me to San Jose, a really quiet city compared to San Francsico. We visited the spanish-design San Jose State University and Adobe built by an Apache. We meet up with the others at Century Theatres for a free movie screening.
